The cup
A specialty roastery and cafe founded in 2015 by Stanislav Bendersky and his brother, inspired by the third-wave coffee scene in Nuremberg, Germany. The Rua das Flores flagship in Chiado roasts on a 5 kg Probatone and maintains direct-trade partnerships with farms across Latin America and Africa; the long basement-style room with upcycled furniture and caged lights offers espresso and filter alongside a brunch menu. The company now has five Lisbon addresses and two in Porto, but the Chiado original remains the anchor. Roasts its own coffee.
