Opened in 2011 alongside Copenhagen's central public library on Krystalgade, Democratic Coffee specialises in single-origin, lightly roasted coffee with two espresso options on bar: one for black coffee, one for milk. The kitchen bakes bread and pastries from scratch on site each morning. The narrow room adjoins the library reading rooms, giving it an unusually unhurried quality for a city-centre address near Nørreport station.
