The cup

A specialty roastery and cafe opened in 2012 by Michael Uhlig in the ground floor of Casa Calvet, the residential building on Carrer de Casp that Antoni Gaudí completed in 1900. D·Origen was among the first specialty coffee roasters in Spain and has won Best Espresso in Spain in 2014, 2016 and 2023; the company sources green coffee from its own farm in Panama alongside other single-origin lots, roasting fresh daily batches for the cafe and for online customers. Roasts its own coffee.
