The cup
A family-run roastery and bean shop on Carrer de l'Argenteria dating to a colonial store opened in 1919 and trading as a specialty coffee operation under the El Magnifico name since 1962; the current owner Salvador Sans stocks more than forty single-origin and blended lots, all roasted on the premises. One of the earliest specialty roasters in Spain, the shop is as much a landmark of El Born as any of the neighbourhood's medieval streets. Roasts its own coffee.
